Two passionate friends transform wood into unique scenery for your miniature and role-playing games, with a touch of humor and a lot of creativity.

Fred and Thomas met at school in 1988, in BrusselsTwo curious teenagers, a bit too chatty for their own good. They quickly discovered a shared passion: inventing worlds, telling stories, and finding every possible excuse to avoid doing their homework. Together, they developed a passion for role-playing games, which led them to wargames, and later to board games.

Fred chose the path of freelance illustration, bringing visual universes to life in games like “When I Dream”. Meanwhile, Thomas tackled IRL quests: managing game stores in Brussels (Ludos, Maedusa), before becoming a web designer – because you’ve gotta earn a living between two gaming sessions.

Despite the years and the responsibilities of adult life, their interest in imaginary worlds remained intact. They continued to play, imagine, and create, proving that even with busy lives, you can remain a child at heart… or at least keep a table corner full of miniatures.

Then one day, Fred stumbled upon a magic tool: the laser cutter. Together with Thomas, they tested their discovery and started cutting and engraving… transforming MDF into unique scenery for wargames and RPGs.

A few months later, DRYAD Creations was born. Five years later, the story went two ways: DRYAD MiniWorlds, for miniature games and RPG sessions, and DRYAD Creations, for decoration and art. Every piece of scenery is designed to invite play, to tell stories… and most importantly, to have a good time, without taking things too seriously.
